Today the Hon'ble Central Information Commissioner Shailesh Gandhi directed the Directorate of Education, Govt of Delhi to appoint PIO or APIO in every Government run primary, secondary or senior secondary school on the appeal filed by our General Secretary Madan Mohan Tiwari. The appeal was heard by the Hon'ble Judge who appreciated and allowed such nice RTI appeals coming from teachers of Govt schools who wish to promote transparency and accountability in the system.Now the public and teachers may file RTI applications directly in any Government school regarding status of different welfare schemes, maintenance of basic amenities like water electricity, desks and the expenditure done, syllabus covered by teachers, classes taken by principals, practicals done, scholarship, books, uniform, shoes distribution, laadli scheme for girl child, admission-withdrawal, mid-day meal, completion of service books, payment of arrears etc...
This is a milestone victory
